June 15 and September 15 to be considered in November
December 15 and March 15 to be considered in May
Senders of grant requests received between March 15 and June 15 , or between September 15 and December 15 will be asked to resubmit updated requests.
After initial culling by the staff, every grant request is read and evaluated by each director. Since the Foundation has received over one hundred grant applications for a single meeting, it is necessary that each request be concise, yet sufficiently complete to allow for evaluation of an organization and the project or program for which it seeks funding.
Grant requests should be limited to two 8-1/2 x 11 inch pages on the organization's stationery, and typed in a font to allow comfortable reading. It is not necessary to send a separate cover letter. All essential information should be stated on these two pages including:
A description of the organization and its mission
A description of the project or program to be considered, including its purpose and realistically projected results
A proposed budget for the project or program
Equate this request to the project budget and list other sources of funding.
Name, address, telephone number, and e-mail address (if applicable) of a person available to discuss the request with one or more of the Foundation's directors
The following must be attached:
A copy of the organization’s federal tax exemption letter (501(c)(3))
A copy of the organization’s latest Form 990 (Federal tax return)
Other items may be attached, but the Directors will primarily evaluate and rate the two page request. Additional material will be indicated and made available to a Director upon his or her request.
